Bohol is an island province located south of Manila. Panglao Island hangs off the bottom of the main island and is connected by two bridges. The main city is Tagbilaran. Panglao Island's most popular area is Alona Beach (pictured above) and has many beachfront bars and multicultural restaurants. It is about 20 minutes by road from Tagbilaran.
Flights from Manila to Tagbilaran daily (TAG) depart from terminal 2 on Philippine Airlines or terminal 3 on PAL Express and Cebu Pacific. Flights take about 1 hour. A new airport, located on Panglao Island, is currently under construction and is predicted to open sometime in 2018. Ferries travel between Cebu and Tagbilaran every day. The fastest, "Super Cat" , takes about 90 minutes. These can be pre booked and ticketed by All About Asia.
